by the Tourist Dept. of Delhi, to enhance the craftmanship of our country.
This gives them a platform to show their skilled work and launch themselves
from here. As the area is filled by tourists who would not miss the sight
in the evening which is lovely. One can get goods at a very nominal price.
The place has great food stalls with cuisine from different tates of India,
making it a place for everyone.
There are sixty-two stalls selling handicrafts of varied kinds from all
over the country. The stalls are allotted for two weeks each on a rotational
basis, thus aiming at giving opportunity to the maximum number of craftsmen
to exhibit their ware and also ensures that visitors buy authentic pieces
at prices that are not exorbitant due to high maintenance. The exhibition
hall facing the shops holds shows promoting handicrafts and handlooms,
in line with the government policy of promoting and preserving the traditional
heritage.
The Haat presents a synthesis of craft, food and cultural activities.
Items range from kantha saris to intricate rose wood and sandalwood carvings.
One may also find beautiful footwear made of camel hide and also handloom
fabrics and drapery. A touch of opulence is added with the vast treasure
house of gems and bead ornaments. Live demonstration by potters and artisans
is also given.
The open-air stage is the focal point for holding special music, dance
and other programmes of different states. An entirely new vista opens
up and the scene changes dramatically as models draped in traditional
fabrics walk down the ramp in special shows. The whole set-up and the
sheer variety of items on display make a visit to Dilli Haat an attractive
proposition for one and all.

Fountain
Delhi Tourism's musical fountain at Ajmal Khan Park is spread over
an area of five acres and provides a refreshing getaway from the bustle
of the city.The scintillating lights synchronised with music, and the
cascading water turn this complex into a quiet haven, particularly during
the heat of summer.If you are travelling with kids or just want to enjoy
a pleasant evening with your partner, then pay a visit to the Musical
Fountain at Ajmal Khan Park This is spread over an area of five acres
and provides a refreshing getaway from the bustle of the city. The musical
fountain is in operation for two hours every day after sunset except on
Tuesday

And Light Show
The historic Purana Qila which dates back to periods of anarchy, and
